This machine is extremely convenient. Necessity? No. But if you’re holding a hungry crying baby, you can make a warm bottle of formula in seconds with one hand. I highly recommend it – it works perfectly, you just have to follow the machine instructions. First, you do have to clean the funnel after every 4 bottles (it says this in the instructions and literally on the funnel itself). It sounds like a lot but it’s super quick and easy, and do yourself a favor and buy a second funnel so you can easily swap them out when needed and have time to wash the dirty one later. You should also descale the machine once a month by filling the water tank with distilled vinegar + water and washing the formula tank / dispenser parts (again, per their instructions) which is slightly inconvenient every 30 days. if you’re thinking about buying this machine, do it. It’s worth it.
